Welcoming Spring with Geggamoja

Yesterday was the first day of spring and we could feel the warmth coming back. The sunny days are back and we can see green leaves and beautiful daffodils everywhere. But spring is also coming with rain showers so let’s get ourselves ready for it! Spring has always been our favourite season with the girls as you can do so many activities and enjoy to go out. We have been really busy last week planting our potatoes from the #growyourownpotatoes project and sowing some tree seeds from The woodland trust. It so exciting to see the natural cycles of life and gardening is a beautiful, engaging and quiet activity to do with young children. So as beautiful days are coming back, I thought it was the time to use again some bright and lightweight clothes to accommodate the new climat. So today baby is wearing a Geggamoja outfit from the Spring/Summer 2017 Collection. Do you remember? I wrote a review last year about this wonderful Scandinavian brand, click here if you would like to know more. …

Eight months update: Baby’s milestones – From Babies With Love Whale Baby grow

Recently, Baby turned up seven months old. I cannot believe how fast she has grown but that’s it: she is not my little newborn anymore. We have started weaning at six and a half months even if she was showing lots of readiness signs but she has been poorly in January and I thought we’d rather delay a bit. Because baby is still toothless I started with purees and it worked for approximately two weeks. Then, little by little, she started refusing spoon feeding and willing to feed herself. How can a baby with only gums eat a cucumber? I have no idea but she is managing! She is not a tummy baby. As soon as I put her on her tummy, she turns back. But recently, not to say few days ago, she eventually decided to sit unsupported! What a joy! Never compare babies are they all reach their milestones at their own pace. So let’s see together what we might expect from an 8 months old baby based on Bounty. Dropping and throwing They say: …

Wild Cotton Organic Clothing Collection by The Little Green Sheep

The Little Green Sheep have launched in December their gorgeous new Organic Cotton Bedding & sleepwear range, Wild Cotton. This beautiful new range of illustrated bedding and sleepwear in super soft mint and grey melange features rabbits, bears and woodland and has been created using GOTS certified organic cotton. When I received our box full of goodies I was really impatient to discover this new collection and how Little Green Sheep will bring their organic expertise into clothing. What do I love in this collection? Everything really! I should say that with the mint and grey combination they almost won my heart. I am a H-U-G-E fan of these colours. I love them, they are neutral but quite deep and not boring. Then the theme “Woodland” which is quite in vogue, has been here beautifully illustrated with a very unique style. It reminds me Monnet and impressionism with these dots details. Plus, and it is something important in our lifestyle, The Little Green Sheep are supporting the Woodland Trust, with 25p of every item sold from the Wild Cotton …

Piccalilly Organic Children Clothing Review : a delightful Rainbow in the British sky

Last year has been rich for us in new experiences, new discoveres and in the middle of all the excitement, we have been proud to be Brand Embassadors for Piccalilly. Piccalilly are a British baby and kidswear brand designing organic baby clothes and organic children’s clothes from Newborn up to 10 years. They are the leading UK company to develop muslin swaddling blankets and they manufacture all their organic clothing to the highest ethical standards. I have already posted about this brand and the clothes I received but now, after approximately six months use, I thought it was the right time to share my feelings about this brand and my review. You can find here a little reminder of what we received: Piccalilly Haul. Where to start? First, I love the designs, colours, and the British identify of the brand. It reminds me Mary Poppins and for a French girl who grew up in the 80-90’s, it is definitely a huge compliment. The tea dresses are wonderful with an Alice in Wonderland spirit . I have not seen one …

From Babies with Love: ‘Go Beyond Ethical’ with their Organic Capsule Collection

Today I am happy to have the opportunity to talk again about From Babies with Love. Christmas is just around the corner and I know that many of us are busy getting presents ready for our beloved ones. But what about children that have lost their parents? What about the orphans ? Those who are not lucky enough to live in the same conditions than us? All From Babies With Love profits go around the world to help abandoned children.  I wanted also to share with you the reason why I am proud of this particular brand and why I am happy to present you their collections. Life is all about choices and sometimes, buying from the right places make a difference not only for us but for others too. I am not patronising you I am just sharing what I believe is a great initiative. From Babies with Love was founded by former City accountant Cecilia Crossley. After becoming a parent, her concerns for the welfare of children universally were heightened. Whilst out shopping for her son’s baby clothes, Cecilia …

Introduction to Geggamoja, a Scandinavian Organic Clothing Brand for Children

Few weeks ago, I had the chance to discover a new brand of Organic clothing for children coming right from the North, right from the beautiful Scandinavian countries: a SWEDDISH brand named GEGGAMOJA. Geggamoja is a Stylish, practical and playful Brand for Kids! Geggamoja aims to represent an urban Scandinavian lifestyle with playful bright colours and a Swedish all time favorite: stripes! They create a wide-range of 100% organic products for premature babies to outdoor wear, bedding, toys, and accessories for children aged zero to 12 years old! What do I love about Geggamoja? Certainly this Nordic feeling with the very fashionable stripes and chevrons and the bright colours. I fell instantly in love with the designs that seem to be so comfortable. The new Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection is in line with the new trend. I love the unisex designs and colour schemes. Their OUTWEAR clothing Collection are in total harmony with our british lifestyle. I am just in love with their fleece coveralls: snuggle, warm and waterproof. I do appreciate also the difference with the actual UK Organic clothing trend to use bright colours and …

A magic wind blows through the Little Green Radicals Winter Collection

Between Magic, Stars and Fairy Sleepy Dust, the new Little Green Radicals Winter Collection is enchanting. Two weeks ago, I was waiting for the release of the Little Green Radicals Autumn Winter 2016 Collection. You know my love for this Organic Clothing brand! And if you don’t, you can always read my article and you will see how fond of them I am! Unfortunately when you have high expectations you expose yourself to disillusion. So when the new collection has been revealed,  I was first worried . “The new AW16 collection – dreams – invites into a dream world of magic moons & stars, flying rockets, hooting owls & candy lands… with beautiful new organic corduroy pieces in unisex colours & super soft organic sherpa blankets, hats & mitts of all made from gorgeous organic & Fairtrade cotton…” After few pictures out I can tell you that I have not been disappointed at all, quite the opposite. The first thing that caught my eyes in the new collection was the Moon and Stars print and the deep rich blue colour. This kind of midnight blue is so unusual in children clothing that I fell in love instantly, as …

From Babies with Love – New Range of Organic Soft Toys

Today I would like to introduce you a special company: From Babies with Love. From Babies with Love is special and unique, not similar to what you are used to see and that is why when From Babies With Love asked me to review one of  their New Organic Soft Toys I could not refuse! In fact, I jumped. Why? From Babies with Love create organic clothing with printed characters. Those characters are sumptuously original. The designs have been lovingly created using a montage of vintage postal ephemera, and the result is stunning! For example, the Rabbit character is designed using vintage postal materials and can be found on a number of baby essentials… From Babies with Love recently added to their beautiful products a new range of organic soft toys with their existing characters but not only: some new ones have come through! One of them is the Whale. We love whales in our home therefore it was evident that we needed one to cuddle baby. We received the lovely whale in a beautiful pouch with “From Babies with Love” logo on it – really realistic and suits perfectly the spirit of …

{French Yoghurt Cake recipe} A simple birthday for our 2 years old daughter

Last week I have been a very busy bee between Baby allergies, Baba1 first day to reception year and Baba2 2 years birthday! I wake up early and prepared the gifts for both of them. I kept it simple and cosy. When I was a child my mum used to bake us a yogurt cake, a well known recipe used by every household, at least in the 80’s. The principle of this easy recipe is to reuse the yoghurt jar as a measuring tool. It is one of the first cake we teach and make with children. Yogurt cake recipe: Easy, you see! My cake made, I put some chocolat ganache and few sparkles. Ready! We decided that we will offer her only the Grimm’s Wheel. We waited Baba1’s return from school to celebrate. Cake and gift on the table, Grimm’s wheel and Piccalilly birthday Card, and let’s go. I put some ballons in the playroom as I knew that Baba1 would be very happy. Let’s start the play! 🙂 We laughed a lot all together. …
